Time flies…………..
Let me apologise first of all for taking so long to write this blog.
It’s been 5 months since I started out full time as a sole trader and I have been truly blown away with how it has gone. I have been so busy taking commissions, networking and going to fairs, which is wonderful.
I was lucky enough to take a short break at Easter and visit New York City with my family. It was amazing, exhausting and expensive. What do you expect with 2 children, one of which is on the verge of becoming a teenager. Shopping, shopping, shopping!!!
I did manage to take a little time for myself and visit a couple of fabric shops in Fashion Avenue. Well you have to, don’t you? for research of course.
Since I have been back, I have picked up pretty much where I left off which is predominantly making the traditional vintage shades. I knew there was an appetite for them, but they have proved more popular than I anticipated.
I recently completed this commission for a lady who had a lamp where the shade was broken and wanted a bespoke one made to replace it. She came to see me and we discussed options before deciding on this……
She was delighted with the outcome and so was I. It was just what she wanted.
Remember, if you are looking for something that is not on my website, contact me and we can make a bespoke shade for you too.
I promise not to leave it too long next time.In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do contact me.
Don’t forget you can follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Etsy.

Rachel
