Support Independent this Christmas

Hello!

What a busy few weeks I have had. Birmingham Open Studios has been and gone, that was an adventure in itself. I was due to be exhibiting at one of my stockists shops, A Painted Room in Moseley, however a week before the event, they were flooded so the shop was unable to open. Fear not, the wonderful local artist Emma Hardicker kindly opened up her studio and house so I was able to exhibit there. Phew!

Both weekends were great, I love to meet new people and talk all things lampshades; from my inspiration, to how I make them and what made me take this direction in my life.

What really made me happy was when a few

previous customers came to see me to say hi and show their support. It’s the little thingsā€¦..

I have also received confirmation of my stall at the Etsy Made Local event in Birmingham during December. It’s being held at the Medicine Bakery and Gallery off New Street, right in the heart of the German Market, so fingers crossed it will be a successful event.

I will be selling my lanterns, fairy lights, lamps and will have a few shades with me too, all from from day 1on Tuesday 3rd December for 6 days, then the 14th/15th December and 22nd December. If you are in Birmingham on any of these days, please come and say hello and support the independent businesses this Christmas.

As well as all the events I have scheduled I am busy working on some bespoke commissions and trying to update my website. It’s a slow process and I have a long way to go, however if you are able to take a look at it and feedback your thoughts it would be appreciated.

Take care and speak soon.

Rachel
